Russian FM concerned over possible strike on Iran
Lavrov added that the U.S. vice president said during his recent visit to Australia that no one should allow Iran to ignore the position of the international community.
He also said that nobody discussing the issue of strikes on Iran referred to any UN sanctions to that effect.
Lavrov said Russia will make every effort to resolve the Iranian nuclear problem through talks.
Mohamed ElBaradei, secretary general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), presented a new report on Iran's nuclear program to the UN Security Council Friday, confirming that Iran is continuing its efforts to develop a full nuclear cycle despite an UN-imposed ban.
